December 6th

What a wonderful day we had on Sunday.

The sixth of December is always special because a) it's Daniel's birthday and b) it's St Nicholas
Day, and the official start of our holiday season.

There was gingerbread house building.

It felt especially festive this year because of the cold temperatures outside, the blanket of fresh snow, and the wonderful glow of family inside.

Ada showing off her new (Grandma's old) boots.

We do have some video of a spectacular rum cake on fire (well, the candles for Daniel were quite a blaze!) but Josh has them on his camera.
I'm sure you can imagine it.
Yup.
Delicious.

Love Ada's boots with her pretty dress! They match.

Looks like you had a nice party - kind of small this year, though, wasn't it?

Karyn,
It was just family, and it was just right!
Dawn, Thanks! Josh did my banner from a photo of the Christmas village he made from paper, Lo, these many years ago. Then he proceeded to fix everything else. I love having a resident designer!
